Campbell Datalogging WorkshopAug 4th, 2014
Geosense engineers recently attended a workshop at Campbell Scientific as part of a long-standing working relationship relating to geotechnical/structural equipment.
“The purpose of the visit was to build upon our substantial understanding of creating and managing a DAQ (Data Acquisition System) using Campbell equipment and to make us aware of new developments,” explained Geosense Technical Sales Engineer Jeremy Clegg, who attended with colleague Erkan Tahiroglu.
Various sensors used in civil engineering were covered, including voltage, Wheatstone bridge, vibrating wire digital and current.
“We believe the industry is developing and changing and want to ensure our team is well equipped and able to provide and support complex systems,” added Jeremy.
Vibrating wire is a now a key technology and proven throughout civil engineering applications and so the use of interfaces to read static and dynamic measurements was covered in detail at the workshop.
“We were happy to supply our gauges to demonstrate the system and look forward to continuing our discussions and collaboration with Campbell Scientific,” added Geosense General Manager Grant Taylor.
