Rail upgrade wireless monitoring

Geosense wireless monitoring equipment is being used in Phase 2 of Network Rail’s upgrade of the line between Bicester, Bedford, Aylesbury and Milton Keynes. The latest part of the scheme, which was approved by The Secretary of State for Transport yesterday, includes reinstating a disused section of railway between Bletchley and Claydon Junction.

Geosense Technical Sales Engineers Simon Fitzjohn and Paul Newman were on site yesterday to provide training for Stephen Forbes from CC Ground Investigations on how to install and use the Wi SOS VW 1 channel node & gateway which will be used to monitor slope stability using six VW piezometers.
