Pressure Cells

For measuring total stresses in soils and concrete.

Pressure cells, are used to measure total pressure in soils, rock and concrete and at the interface between soil and natural or concrete abutment structures, as well as on foundation contacts.

Total Pressure Cells measure the total pressure (effective stress and pore water pressure) and are installed within fills to determine its distribution, magnitude and direction.

NATM stress cells are designed for use in concrete such as linings in tunnels and other underground workings.

Data can be obtained using a portable readout or connected into a data logger for automatic monitoring.
